'I Dream of Jeannie - The Complete Fourth Season'
(Barbara Eden, Larry Hagman, et al / 4-Disc DVD / NR / (1965) 2007 / Sony Pictures)

Overview: Captain Tony Nelson is an astronaut. While on a mission, he discovered a mysterious bottle. Opening it, he released Jeannie (a Genie) who was so overjoyed at her release she promised to serve Captain Nelson. Nelson is unsure what to make of Jeannie, especially given that his work is highly secret and his superiors tend to keep a close eye on him.

DVD Verdict: 'I Dream Of Jeannie - Season 4' has some really great episodes - some of my favs I have listed below - but these season includes Jeannie's evil twin sister! Included in this wonderful 4-disc box set are all 26 fourth season episodes including a GREAT 2-part show entitled "The Case of My Vanishing Master 1-2"!

OK, so here are my tp 5 fav episodes from this fourth season: 1) "U-F-Oh Jeannie" - (First aired: 9/16/1968) While Tony and Roger are testing a top secret flying saucer like craft for NASA, Jeannie pops on board and her extra weight causes them to go off course. The two land in the middle of hillbilly country and are mistaken for Martians by a family who plans on turning them in for a reward; 2) "Jeannie and the Wild Pipchicks" - (First aired: 9/23/1968) Jeannie gives Tony a mysterious candy from her mother called "Pipchicks". When it is discovered that the Pipchicks make Tony stronger, Tony tries to keep them a secret, but soon enough Dr. Bellows eats one and finds out their potential and insists that Tony make another batch for other astronauts. When Jeannie's mother gives Tony the recipe though, those pipchicks don't allow for strength but they allow the person to act out their inner fantasies and so the General, Dr. Bellows, and anyone else who has tried them go crazy and this causes havoc on the base; 3) "Djinn, Djinn Go Home" (First aired: 11/11/1968) - A strange dog shows up on Tony's doorstep and immediately turns invisible starts attacking Tony. Jeannie arrives and saves the day and informs Tony that it her dog Djinn Djinn, who she hasn't seen in 2000 years; 4) "Ride 'Em Astronaut" (First aired: 1/27/1969) When Jeannie becomes the 1,000,000th customer at the local supermarket, she wins several prizes including the right to become queen of the Cocoa Beach rodeo. Now Tony must enter the rodeo to keep an amorous cowboy from winning and staking his claim on Jeannie; and finally, 5) "Jeannie-Go-Round" (First aired: 4/7/1969) Back to her old tricks,Jeannie's sister locks Jeannie up in her bottle and is after Major Nelson. The chaos begins when Major Nelson,Dr. Bellows and his wife, and Roger and his date go to a nightclub. When Jeannie's sister blinks the singer at the nightclub's voice to not make her talk or sing, she comes out as Miss Jeannie and sings and blinks Major Nelson's clothes off leaving with only a table cloth when he comes home looking for Jeannie, infuriating Dr. Bellows in the process. When Jeannie discovers what's happening, she and her sister start throwing things at each other and Dr. Bellows thinking that an earthquake is shaking the house.

Now lets hope that 'IDOJ - The Complete Fifth' (and final season) will be released soon ... and some extras front and center hopefully too. Enjoy! This is a Full Screen Presentation (1.33:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of just Subtitles in Portuguese and Spanish.
