Title - Just Stay Alive (Recorded Live at The Falcon)
Artist - The Alexis P. Suter Band
For those unaware, three-time Blues Music Award (BMA) nominee including the ‘Koko Taylor’ and Best Soul Blues Female Artist award categories, Alexis P. Suter is an American blues, and soul blues singer-songwriter.
Raised in Brooklyn, NY by a musically gifted family, Miss Suter was infused with the passion and belief that music is to be an emotional and spiritual experience. Miss Suter brings an abundance of love and energy into each of her performances.
Miss Suter owns that big, booming voice heard roaring out of Brooklyn and straight into the heart of North America and beyond. Her voice ranges from a pained passion to explosive and soul bearing. She and her backing band have released six albums to date.
Now the band multi-instrumentalist Garth Hudson joins The Alexis P. Suter Band for jump-out-of-the-speakers great concert album Just stay Live, coming out on March 17th, 2026 via Nola Blue.
When GRAMMY-winning mastering engineer, Alan Douches, recently uncovered a powerful surround sound recording of an auspicious night in 2011 at The Falcon in Marlboro, New York, The Alexis P. Suter Band wasted no time making plans for the world to hear it. Fresh on the heels of their acclaimed summer 2025 album, Just Stay High, the band now offers a glimpse into a highlight from their past on a night when Hudson sat in and shared his musical energy.
Now, a year after Hudson’s passing, the band honors him and the transcendent power of live music in this magical recording, mix/mastered in Dolby Atmos.

With the band on the rise as accolades pour in and they continue to captivate audiences from town to town, they open their recording on the uproarious John the Revelator and the rhythmically mellow Garth Piano Solo, and they are in turn backed by the melodious Right on Time, the Gospel-driven It’s Not My Cross to Bear and the low slung hipsway of Whistling in the Dark.
Along next is their heartwarmingly impassioned rendition of Dylan’s Knocking on Heavens Door and the frenetically-charged roustabout Hole That I’m In and that is in turn followed seamlessly by the emotively-driven Rise, the soulful R&B-vibed Only I, the set rounding out on the raised Blues-Gospel of Turn on Your Love Light, coming to an all-too-soon close on the veritably hushed, yet hauntingly embracing ballad Isn’t it a Pity.
The Alexis P. Suter Band, a powerful and unique six-piece ensemble, artfully blends the lines between Blues, Soul and Rock music. The band burst on to the music scene with regular performances at Levon Helm’s legendary Midnight Rambles in Woodstock, NY.
