Title - [APRIL 17] Little Black Book
Artist - Leslie Vincent
For those unaware, Leslie Vincent’s new record Little Black Book explores the nuances, heartaches, and joys of dating and marriage in the modern age.
Guest features from Jeremy Messersmith (songwriting/vocals), Stephanie Wieseler (tenor saxophone), Zach Marley (trombone) and Mary Alice Hutton (violin).
Leslie Vincent is a prolific jazz vocalist and songwriter whose lyrical imagination, warm alto tone, and magnetic stage presence have made her a distinctive voice in the modern day jazz scene. Her award-winning songs explore modern-day questions while remaining deeply rooted in the jazz, swing, and blues traditions.
DownBeat has described her as “as much a storyteller as she is a jazz singer,” and AmericanaUK praised her voice as “Amy Winehouse had she gone full-tilt jazz.”
Beyond the stage, Vincent is a committed arts advocate and collaborative artist. Her performances often embrace cross-genre interpretation and a sense of openness that invites audiences in, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and deeply personal.
In 2020, she released her debut album These Foolish Things, which garnered much critical attention from fans and music critics in the Twin Cities, especially from Jazz88 FM, where she’s become a regular in-studio guest.
She then released her sophomore album About Last Night in 2023 and on April 17th 2026, she will release her third album, Little Black Book.

Known for his virtuosic command of both acoustic and electric bass and having long been celebrated for blending technical precision with emotional depth, Mark opens his new recording on the sprightly Analog Love Affair and the luxuriantly smooth Tallying Strangers, and then we are brought forth the pop-licious What Humans Do (featuring indie pop musician Jeremy Messersmith), the laid back ambiance of Love on Cape Cod and both the guitar-led Ex #4: The Comedian and the slow shuffle of You & I (Go Together Like).
Along next is the perky and playful Swinging Tattooed Queen and the low slung balladry of Rainy Days and they are in turn followed neatly by the effortlessly demure Harriet the Spy, the mid-tempo pop-rock of Till They Do, the set rounding out on the vibrantly paced Hannah Always Cries at IKEA, coming to a close on the emotively sculpted Girls at My School.
