Title - (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction [Tiny Vinyl Edition]
Artist - The Rolling Stones

For those not in the know, released during the first week of June in 1965, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones proved to be a monumental single, not just in terms of airplay and chart position (their first U.S. #1), but also in terms of shaping popular music.

The song that, according to Newsweek, contains the “five notes that shook the world” has proven itself timeless. A half-century later, the Rolling Stones played the song as their finale on the opening night of their Zip Code Tour of North America 2015.

On November 21st, 2025, ABKCO Records will celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Rolling Stones’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by releasing a limited-edition 4-inch version of the band’s breakthrough single. The new configuration of the legendary single is part of Tiny Vinyl’s series sold exclusively at Target.

The record is housed in an equally tiny sleeve featuring a meticulous recreation of the original 7-inch picture sleeve artwork. The cover showcases award-winning photographer David Bailey’s portrait of the group’s original lineup of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Brian Jones, and Bill Wyman.

True to the 1965 US version, the B-side is “The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man.” The release makes for an ideal stocking stuffer for any reasonably-sized stocking.

1. (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction
2. The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man

Complete with an opening guitar riff is just so darn iconic, (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction changed the course of musical history for these young lads. I mean, sure, the Jagger/Richards team had written a good amount of songs at this point. And sure, there had been other Jagger/Richards singles before. But everything from the riff to Keith’s use of the fuzzbox to Mick’s sneering vocals was just such a big step forward for the band.

Simply put, this was the song that transformed them from a successful band playing RnB and blues covers into The Rolling f**king Stones. Just two years prior they released Come On. Think about how much they grew in that short amount of time.

As for the original B-Side The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man, well, not as iconic, for sure, but nonetheless to those who know the lore of it, the riff is obviously a borrowing of Fannie Mae; which the Stones performed at gigs in those early days. The fact that a lot of people have never heard this Stones classic is simply because it was overshadowed by the A-Side of the single.

That said, The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man is a decent enough cut of its own, stands alone nicely in truth, and coming complete with a nice snarky lyrical content, if you take this musical B-Side experience to the hilt here on this brilliant new 4-inch record, you will quickly fall [back] in love with its mighty fine arrangement.

ABOUT TINY VINYL: These 4-inch records are as real as it gets — just tiny! Tiny Vinyl is a new pocket-sized way to enjoy your favorite artists. They hold one song on each side and play on most manual turntables*.

BETTER FOR THE EARTH: Tiny Vinyl is always made using renewable resources and uses just 1/10th the material of a full-size record.

*Tiny Vinyl plays best on manual turntables. Playback may be limited on automatic players that cannot disable auto-stop, or that have tonearms that cannot reach close to center.

The Rolling Stones’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” b/w “The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man” is now available at Target on Tiny Vinyl! This 4” record plays on most standard turntables and features original album art in a collectible format.
