For those unaware, The Light are three musically experienced and seasoned men from southern Germany. Founded in 2024, from the very beginning they have made sure to meet their own musical standards and at the same time develop and implement songs with recognition value.

On the 10 songs of their self-titled debut album The Light, fat riffs meet a pounding rhythm section and melodic vocal cords that make every song a listening experience of the highest order.

The two lead singles Toxic Dependence (released February) and War (released March) already give a good foretaste of the long player and are perfectly complementary to the eight additional album tracks, which together from a varied and homogeneous overall oeuvre.

The lyrics make critical reference to everyday human madness and address the struggle for individuality and authenticity against external control and oppression.

This brilliantly sculpted, and expertly creative new album opens on the propulsive rhythmic force of Swinging and the 80’s industrially-hued War and then we get the grounded rocker Toxic Dependence, the rock-pop imbibed Fall and the guitar-driven Train To Nowhere.

Along next is the melodiously-crafted rocker Paradise and the driven sounds of Run and they are in turn followed seamlessly by a rawness that eloquently drives Call My Name, the album rounding out on the drum-led monster The Light, closing on the forthright, yet free-flowing You Will Never Know.

The Light will be released on CD April 11th, 2025 and will also be available as a limited edition 12 inch vinyl version.
