Title - 'I Wanna Have Some Fun: Deluxe Ed.' (Cherry Pop)
Artist - Samantha Fox

Samantha Fox, as we all know by now, is an English dance-pop singer, actress, and former glamour model. In 1983, at the age of 16, she began her topless modelling career on Page Three of The Sun, and went on to become a popular pin-up girl.

And then, riding the wave of some serious media attention, in 1986, she launched her pop music career with her debut single 'Touch Me (I Want Your Body)', which instantly became a #1 hit in 17 countries.

She has since sold over 30 million albums worldwide, released seven original albums, has also appeared in a number of films, worked as a TV presenter, and has even appeared on reality TV shows!

Now digitally remastered and expanded, this two CD deluxe edition of her third album, the house-influenced I WANNA HAVE SOME FUN (1988) has been lovingly put out by Cherry Red Records for all her fans to enjoy, once again. Only this time, and for the first time ever, on CD!

This incredible package kicks off with its title track, 'I Wanna Have Some Fun' and once again features the creative juices; and vocals of dance producers Full Force. The first single released from the album in the UK 'Love House' is next, with both 'Your House or My House' and 'Next To Me' (again with Full Force) following along behind.

Released by Jive in November 1988, just over a year since her last album was released, this third album was way mMore danceable than Samantha’s previous albums. It also found her collaborating with a diverse selection of the world’s top producers. Names such as Fred Zarr, Bolland & Bolland and Detroit techno legend Kevin Saunderson all the way through to Grammy-nominated rock luminary Chris Tsangarides were brought in to work their magic.

The original 12-track album continues on with 'Ready for This Love,' her co-penned 'Confession,' a cover of Dusty Springfield's 'I Only Want to Be With You' (retitled 'I Only Wanna Be with You'), and then both the Stock, Atkin and Waterman original 'You Started Something,' and the Bolland & Bolland written 'One in a Million.' Rounding out the original album are 'Walking on Air,' 'Hot For You,' and 'Out of Our Hands.'

The first disc continues on with extended versions and a lot of previously unreleased material. Starting with 'Don't Cheat On Me,' 'Lovin' Don't Grow On Trees,' 'All I Wanna Do' (Single Edit - with Full Force),' it then rolls into the Stock, Aitken and Waterman created 'Too Late To Say Goodbye' (which was subsequently recorded by Jason Donovan for his debut album), 'Giving Me A Hard Time,' the ultimately shelved Fred Zarr-produced track 'Shout It Out,' and finally 'Ready For This Love (7" Mix).'

The previously-sought-after B-sides and unheard track, many mixes originally only issued on vinyl continue on a second disc with 'Love House (The Black Pyramid Mix),' 'Your House Or My House (Extended Version),' 'I Only Wanna Be With You (Extended Version),' 'I Wanna Have Some Fun (Extended Version),' and then 'Lovin' Don't Grow On Trees (Extended Version)' and 'Love House (The Chicago House Jam Mix).'

The party is non-stop here as quickly we are into another version of 'I Only Wanna Be With You (12" Mix),' another 'I Wanna Have Some Fun (Sample Some Fun Mix),' another 'Love House (Coldest Mix),' another 'All I Wanna Do (with Full Force aka FF Remix),' another 'Love House (DJ Pierre Mix),' and finally another batch of 'I Wanna Have Some Fun (Alternative Fun Mix),' 'Love House (Cool Mix),' and then 'I Only Wanna Be With You (Instrumental).'

And with all Cherry Red CD booklets, this one is compiled with personal input from Samantha herself. Indeed, the extensive booklet also features many additional photos, a fully illustrated discography and recording data, full lyrics and new sleeve notes written especially for this release.
