Opening on the hyper fun anthem of the title track 'Let's Go!' that's followed by the chilly sensations of 'When It's Cold' and then we get the sunny strummer 'What Am I Gonna Be (for Halloween),' the clap-along of 'The Superhero Handwashing Song,' and then the achingly beautiful 'I Saw A Butterfly' is backed by the perky 'I'm On Vacation.'
Next up is the make-you-hungry 'Time To Eat' and the low tempo, drum beat-led 'Listen To The Sounds' which are followed by the joyous 'It's Hard To Be 3,' the gently frenetic 'Jumping Jack,' and then the glorious storytelling of 'Take A Look At My Face' is brought forth.
The cutely informative 'Tied My Shoes' is up next and backed by the harmonious 'One Step,' the funky 'Happy New Year,' with the album rounding out on the aptly-named, Gospel-esque 'Beautiful Light,' closing on the bonus track, an acoustically informative 'The Superhero Mask Song.'
ďA pandemic is a strange and challenging time to make and release a new album,Ē Laurie admits. ďWhatís really important? Whatís going to change completely by tomorrow? I didnít expect a song about handwashing to end up on this album, or a song about wearing a mask, and I waited to release the title track until after we were no longer under strict stay-at-home orders because Ö well, where were we going to go?"
"Somehow, through the remote help of my amazing producer, Dave Darlington, my great bandmates, and my incredible Two Tomatoes team, I was able to finish Letís Go! from my home and put it out into the world. I love the shape of this album, and I hope families will, too.Ē
