Title - 'Living on Another Frequency' (Megaforce)
Artist - Science Faxtion

Another of super bassist Bootsy Collins' seemingly endless side projects, Science Faxtion is essentially the Praxis line-up (Collins on bass, Buckethead on guitar, and Brian "Brain" Mantia on drums) with versatile singer and guitarist Greg Hampton (who also co-wrote and co-produced Alice Cooper s latest LP, Along Came a Spider) and programmer DJ Botieus along for the ride.

Indeed, in preparation for their 'Living on Another Frequency' album, the band utilized the information super highway's ultimate hub to get the word out – MySpace!

Hamptons husky, if not smokey vocals on tunes such as the pulsating rock of "Chaos In Motion" or the guitar onslaught of "Lookin' for Eden" really fit in well. Brain's busy drum work also adds a certain element, and pairs up quite nicely with Bootsy's pounding bass lines.

"Famous" almost sounds like a long-lost Prince song, deeply funky with a touch of R&B, while "L.O.A.F. " is pure guitar rock, Buckethead lashing out with a torrent of heavy riffs alongside Collins' and his booming bass grooves.

Other highlights include the scorching funk-metal "Take You Down" and the raucous "Fatally Flawed Flesh", each one filled with strong vocals, blipping synths, and plenty of guitar.
