Title - ‘The Essential Ennio Morricone Film Music Collecti
Artist - The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra

Born in Rome in 1928, Ennio Morricone began his film career with Il Federale in 1961 and spiralled to worldwide success with his unique music for the Sergio Leone 'Man With No Name' trilogy starring Clint Eastwood, A Fistful Of Dollars, A Few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly.

Indeed, the length and breadth of his brilliance is underlined by this 2CD 40 track selection of some of his greatest scores, all lovingly, and vibrantly performed by The City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. One of the most respected and recorded orchestras in the world they pay due homage to the great composer in fine style, kicking off with tracks from The Hateful Eight and Lolita, whilst flowing through others from such films as The Untouchables, Once Upon A Time In America, Exorcist II: The Heretic, Revolver, and ending up with musical gems from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, For A Few Dollars More, and even A Fistful of Dollars, amongst others.

Again, for me, the true highlights include the Leone films, 1900, Chi Mai, Once Upon A Time In America, The Mission, The Untouchables, Cinema Paradiso and of course his Oscar winner, and last film composed for, The Hateful Eight.
