Title - 'Ariel Visions'
Artist - Vinnie Moore

Having followed a path well trodden by other musicians over the past few years, Vinnie Moore took the creation of his new album, his first solo instrumental album in six (6) years, to the fans. Using PledgeMusic.com to fund it, after two years of being in the making, the record is finished and comes out next month.

Entitled Aerial Visions, Moore also chose to release it on his very own record label, Mind’s Eye Music. Having listened to it today, twice, he must be absolutely thrilled that it is finally completed and ready for people to hear for it is a dynamite, blockbuster of a guitar album.

Containing nine (9) of his original songs and one (1) cover tune, Ariel Visions is, without a shadow of a doubt, Vinnie Moore back to what he does best. Moore, a member of the English hard rock band UFO (since 2003), has always been known as one of the most influential and important guitarists to emerge from the virtuoso boom in the mid to late eighties. But here on his latest album, he cranks everything up a notch - as if he had never heard certain riffs done certain ways, and so explores them regardless.

1. Mustang Shuffle
2. Now's the Time
3. Faith
4. Slam
5. La Grange
6. Looking Back
7. Aerial Vision
8. The Dark Dream
9. Calling Out
10. A Million Miles Gone

There simply are not enough words to describe the depth, emotion and technical prowess of Vinnie Moore and this entire album. It is totally mesmerizing. The structure of the songs themselves are incredibly put together and carry you on a journey far beyond the planes of real life. The song 'Looking Back,' for my money, has such a strong melody and a powerful attitude that it is, for now, my favorite of the bunch. Moore demonstrates skill way beyond any neoclassical guitar player to date and Ariel Visions is an album that will soon become a "classic" amongst all his legion of fans, believe me.
