Title - 'Love Is My Religion' (Tuff Gong Worldwide)
Artist - Ziggy Marley

The first track on Ziggy's new CD, 'Into The Groove, is forgettable ... sorry, but it truly is! It's a bit too loud and the music is just too repetitve. The second track, 'Love Is My Religion' has a strange familiarity which you will feel instantly. "All the days I've been searching, to find out what this life is worth ... I've made up my mind." Quite obviously Ziggy likes carrying his heart on his sleeve. Two minutes and a few seconds into the song, I've lost interest once again ... sorry, but I just did! If I am in an extremely sunny delight of a mood, I'd probably enjoy this song. Come third track and the album thankfully (to my mind) settles musically down to what we would expect from Ziggy. And 'Beach In Hawaii' will truly sound great ... if you're ever actually on a beach -- even better a beach in Hawaii! "Since you've been gone away, I think about you everyday, Don't you know I miss you much? Don't you know I need your touch?" = very familiar lyrics, but it is still one of the better tracks on this CD. Anyway, this new 2006 release (and second solo album by Bob Marley's son) is the follow-up to the successful Dragonfly album from 2003. Perhaps buy that one before this ... or both at the same time would work also!
