'Team America: World Police'
(Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Elle Russ / R / 81 mins / Paramount)

Overview: A group of superheroes set out to eliminate irritating celebrities and the world's evil forces.

Verdict: Parker and Stone find themselves a little adrift and not at their best in the current turmoil, and this attempt to capture that confusion in 'Team America: World Police' only compounds it. A thin send-up of Jerry Bruckheimer-style action flicks, the flick is bawdy, no-holds-barred satire for the most part, tasteless and devastatingly unfunny in others. To be quite honest, 'Team America' is only intermittently funny at the best of times.
