Wes Craven Presents: They
(Laura Regan, Marc Blucas / PG-13 / 90 mins / Dimension)

Overview:A grad student (Laura Regan) tries to find the connection between her childhood fear of the dark and her current terror of the night. Maybe the things she was afraid of as a kid were (gulp!) real?

Verdict:While 'They' does deliver some good jolts, it never quite cranks up the terror and so therein devolves into laughable clichés, histrionic hand wringing, and overwrought effects ! So, if you're looking for one of the "best" silly horror movies of recent memory, step right up as although this one could bore you to death, 'They' is just so laughable you should just file this one under comedy and break out the popcorn ! (FYI - Wes Craven has about as much to do with this as I do the stocking up of "bottled water" in the fridge on-board the Aerosmith tour bus !!)
