Christine Evans is an American-born, Canadian raised young singer songwriter with a sweet spirit and a voice that is best articulated through music. She lives to write and share songs that are honest, expressive, and meaningful to herself and to others.

At just seven years old, Christine began crafting original music and still recalls the very first song she wrote. “I still vividly remember singing my first fully written song for my amazingly patient piano teacher, Val. Despite its ambitious title, “Destiny,” it was no great work of art, but it reflected how writing was such a natural expression of who I was even as young girl – writing music remains to be so intimately tied to who I am as a human being.”

Christine began recording and performing music at just 13 years old and released her debut album through Warner Music Canada at the age of 15. Her sophomore album, Push received accolades at the Island Music Awards as well as the Gospel Music Association Covenant Awards. Her most recent work, “Standing On the Edge,” was recorded with Grammy award winning producer, Matt Bronlewee in Nashville and explores Christine’s reflections and grapplings as a young woman of faith through unconventional pop/rock sounds lit with her ethereal voice and poignant lyrics.

Now recently graduated from Stanford University, Christine is stepping into a new era of her life as an artist, where she feels she has a greater sense than ever of who she is and what she is setting out to do. Her new music features a blend of folk, pop and acoustic influences, ranging from delightfully catchy pop hooks to powerfully emotive ballads. “I seek to write music that first and foremost makes people feel something, allows them to have an experience. I’m not interested in the clever or the obscure, but rather the authentic and the earnest.“

Ready to record a new 7-song EP, this soft-spoken songstress with powerful music in her heart is calling upon the help of her fans and supporters to make it happen.

On November 21st Christine launched a 30-day Kickstarter to raise the funds to record, mix, master, and manufacture her new music. In return for the support of her fans, Christine is offering great rewards for each person who pledges money towards her project such as a signed EP, a personalized thank you video, a recording of an unreleased song, and an invitation to watch a recording session in the works.
