'The Eastwood Factor (Extended Edition)'
(Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, et al / DVD / NR / 2010 / Warner Bros.)

Overview: Narrated by Academy Award®-winner Morgan Freeman, The Eastwood Factor Extended Version’s debut coincides with the upcoming release of Eastwood’s latest film, Invictus, as well as the world premiere May 31 of Turner Classic Movies’ airing of the documentary.

DVD: In 'The Eastwood Factor (Extended Edition),' Clint Eastwood's dear friend, Morgan Freeman narrates as silk-toned as he ever has done anything before. Running at just under an hour and a half, it is what is known in the trade as a crash course of sorts on the man and his work.

And sure, it's not as engrossingly biographical as it could be, but all that's been done before. It is a look back at his work, how he turned himself from a humble, hardworking actor into a great a filmmaker, and how he went from there to being able to appear on both sides of the camera.

Here, Richard Schickel’s 'The Eastwood Factor' covers all noted-above sides of Eastwood's long and still successful career - in fact, all the way to 'Invictus.' So, if you love the man, and who doesn't, and you have yet to find out how his life all came together - and wish to do it in under 90 mins all told - this is the DVD for you!

And, for you technical geeks out there, the Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is just fine for a documentary and the audio from older film clips is in good shape. But, sadly, the only let down is there are no extras. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.

ADDITIONAL INFO: This very same documentary narrated by Morgan Freeman, and other Clint Eastwood film classics, are also being made available On Demand and For Download.

'THE EASTWOOD FACTOR' arrives on iTunes this Tuesday, June 1: Download Here!
