Funny Little Cars - Adventures in the Little Oaza
(Gordana Kamenarovic, Miodrag Petronje, Goran Podlipec, et al / DVD / NR / (2015) 2019 / Mill Creek Home Entertainment)
Overview: Citizens of Doom Valley are not human beings but cars, trucks, boats, scooters, and containers with strong human characteristics.
Doom Valley is being destroyed by criminals and environmentally unsound businesses, and it's up to the few residents left in town to stay and fight back.
DVD Verdict: A fun set of episodes that run at just over 70 minutes, 'Funny Little Cars: Adventures in the Little Oaza' is not your usual PBS Kids set of colorful, 2D animated, low key tales, but it's definitely one that could well entertain your kids, that's for sure.
Here the scenes are all computer created and so with that in mind, they are flawless and the sound is crisp and perfect also. But, and here's the thing, the shows are all in Croatian and feature English subtitles, so your kids might actually have a wee bit of a struggle with this show after all, sorry!
Directed by Dragoslav Ulic Dag and featuring the voices of Gordana Kamenarovic, Miodrag Petronje, Goran Podlipec, and Sasa Stojkovic, 'Funny Little Cars' tells the story of how the "citizens" of Doom Valley ie: the cars, trucks, et al. are under attack by criminals and environmentally unsound businesses, and so the last remaining "residents" take up arms (so to speak) to fight back.
A good, solid message for the kids to learn and understand, sure, but again, it is in Croatian with English subtitles, so make sure you are definitely aware of this fact before you make your purchase. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
