Title - 'The Old Man & The Gun' (OST)
Artist - Daniel Hart

'The Old Man & the Gun' marks the final film role for legendary star Robert Redford.

At the age of 70, Forrest Tucker (Redford) makes an audacious escape from San Quentin, conducting an unprecedented string of heists that confound authorities and enchant the public.

Wrapped up in the pursuit are detective John Hunt, who becomes captivated with Forrest's commitment to his craft, and a woman who loves him in spite of his chosen profession.

Also starring Casey Affleck, Sissy Spacek, Elisabeth Moss and Tom Waits, the score was composed by Daniel Hart, a violinist who played with St. Vincent and Broken Social Scene, before scoring such films as 'Pete's Dragon' and 'A Ghost Story'.

The music associated with this quite gorgeous film by Daniel Hart is as much a tribute to the era as it is to Redford himself.

On a soundtrack that also includes three stand-out classic and folk-rock songs from The Kinks, Scott Walker and Jackson C. Frank, phased perfectly in between the lines are Hart's personal touches.

Never much interluding over three minutes per scoring moment, Hart's work is both precise and alluring. He knows his craft and knows it well, which means that once you leave the movie theater having watched this incredible film, the soundtrack follows along within you.
