'The Complete 10-Day Detox Diet Plan and Cookbook'

Description: This incredible book offers a complete diet plan with recipes that are easy-to-follow, practical and realistic. The program detoxifies the body for optimizing weight, improving digestion, skin, joints, energy levels, hormones, immune system and overall vitality.

Verdict: In truth, I think we've all tried something much the same as this book in our lives. Especially as we've gotten older - and yes, that means you too - it's easier (to our minds) to knock out a "quick" 10-Day Detox plan, rather than force our way through a new, and rigorous work out routine each morning (that eventually leads nowhere, save for carpet burns and donuts!)

Myself, well, each morning whilst on my own 10-Day Detox, I weighed in and did a measurement check of my waist and hips. This would have been an easy part to skip over, sure, but it was an amazing process to see how small, incremental shifts really add up by Day 10. On the plan I was on, I was encouraged to also make note of how long and how effective my sleep the night before was. This was a real eye opener for me and as the Detox went on, I needed slightly less sleep because I was waking up less frequently during the night.

Good food, better eating, was also suggested by my plan, but if I had had this book with me at the same time, well, it would have made the combined process so much more easier to handle. For 'The Complete 10-Day Detox Diet Plan and Cookbook' includes 150 Recipes that enable you to not have to look elsewhere for your meals and food influences.

The author provides the most recent research and information on common toxins, pesticides and heavy metals that create health problems, and more importantly includes an action plan designed to help avoid and eliminate them completely.

Part 1: Exposure to Toxins - Environmental toxins, pesticides, radiofrequency electromagnetic fields, heavy metals Part 2: Food Allergies, Sensitivities and Intolerances - Understanding the differences, toxicity reaction, celiac disease, MSG/gluten/sulfite/salicylate sensitivity/aspartame sensitivity, identifying allergies, sensitivities and intolerances
Part 3: The Detox Diet - Bowel and liver detoxification, cleansing foods, cleansing vitamins and minerals, 10-day detox diet plan, meal plans
Part 4: Recipes for The Detox Diet - Recipes for everything from breakfasts to juices, breads and muffins, soups, vegetables and grains, to soups, salads and dressings and desserts.

The recipes are simple to prepare and above all delicious and satisfying and as for who wrote it all, well, Karen Barnes MSc, ND, appears monthly on a live phone-in show and she makes frequent television and magazine appearances.
