Blu-ray Verdict: Horror legend George Stover (Nightbeast, The Alien Factor) stars alongside genre stalwarts Jeff Angel (Fangs II: Rebirth), Deron Morgan (Blood Cove) and Leanna Chamish (Stakes) in this modern reimagining of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic tale Some Words with a Mummy.

When an ancient mummy is re-awakened by a vengeful Egyptian priest, all hell breaks loose in the city and it’s up to two detectives and a college professor to bring an end to the reign of terror.

Of course, the film operates on a very low, cult-level budget, but that is not to say that the film is low budget mess, for it is most assuredly not. It is instead not a polished B-movie, albeit a rather campy, passion-project and thus is primarily recommended for die-hard fans of ultra-low-budget indie horror and classic cult cinema enthusiasts.

Directed by James Ian Mair and distributed by SRS Cinema, this independent, micro-budget feature reimagines the premise as a horror flick. When an Egyptian priest attempts to avenge a stolen mummy, it is up to detectives and a college professor to stop the reign of terror. It stars B-movie cult legends like George Stover, who comes across as Wes Craven’s dad in both his looks and speech patterns (never a bad thing though!)
