DVD Verdict: The Goat is a beautiful and powerful film. From the first moments, you can feel the passion behind the story. It’s a story that truly needs to be told. The acting is excellent, especially from the young lead, who shows both vulnerability and strength in a very touching way.

The film deals with a very sensitive topic: the mistreatment and exploitation of young girls. It opens our eyes to the painful reality many girls face, especially in situations of war, poverty, or strict traditions. Visually, it’s stunning. The desert scenes are captured beautifully, showing both the harshness of the journey and the beauty of the landscape.

Oh, and that landscape. Wow. It is a most beautifully shot film. Captured using beautiful Egyptian dunes and including great Egyptian stars. In truth, personally I believe that we need more Egyptian films with international casting. Egyptian films should travel abroad and make people discover this beautiful country.

Simply put, The Goat is more than just a film. It’s a message of awareness, empathy, and hope for change.
