Bigfoot: The Movie: The Sequel [DVD]
(Brenda Lee Roth, Curt Wootton, Jared Show, Nate Magill, et al / Blu-ray / NR / 2026 / Wild Eye Releasing)
Overview: After narrowly escaping their initial run-in with Bigfoot, a group rednecks are recruited to find a Yeti.
Blu-ray Verdict: Bigfoot: The Movie: The Sequel brings back the rowdy, beer-fueled heroes of the original cult hit for another outrageous, creature-crushing adventure. After surviving their first chaotic encounter with Bigfoot, the gang is roped into a new mission--this time, to travel to a remote ski lodge and hunt down an even more terrifying beast: the Yeti.
Written and directed by Jared Show, who also stars alongside Curt Wootton, Nate Magill, and Brenda Lee Roth, this follow-up builds on the homespun, Pittsburgh-bred spirit that made the original Bigfoot: The Movie a fan favorite. The film leans hard into its DIY charm, packed with regional humor, over-the-top performances, and practical effects that celebrate the best of backyard monster cinema.
The result is an unapologetically loud, self-aware, and wildly entertaining B-movie romp that doesn’t take itself too seriously--exactly the kind of gleefully absurd monster mayhem that turned the first film into a cult sensation.
Yet another low budget, questionably acted movie about Bigfoot is now upon us and it is as brilliant as you could have ever hoped it to be! Chock full of absolute nonsense, and acted by people that seem to have deliciously full bellies from having chewed up the scenery for the entire 70 mins or so, they are obviously having fun with this script so why not you, as the viewer also.
Blending small-town hijinks with a beer-soaked sense of adventure, Bigfoot: The Movie: The Sequel delivers bigger laughs, bloodier beast battles, and a whole new cryptid to chase. Oh, and as for Bigfoot himself, well, a guy in a hairy white suit is what you get here ... take it or leave it, but I took it and just got on board, as I hope you will also.
A love letter to creature features and redneck comedy alike, it’s tailor-made for fans of Suburban Sasquatch, Abominable, Exists, Willow Creek, Night of the Demon, and Demonwarp. With trailers included as a bonus, this is pure cryptid chaos--louder, meaner, and funnier than ever.
