DVD Verdict: 'Spongebob Squarepants' revolves around the denizens of Bikini Bottom and a sweet square yellow sponge with the tongue twister name of (of course!), SpongeBob SquarePants, who lives in a giant pineapple with his cookie-loving pet snail Gary. His two best friends and comrades-in-misadventures, are Patrick, a gullible starfish and a temperamental, thrill-seeking squirrel named Sandy Cheeks who lives in an underwater dome complete with a large Texas tree house and picnic area.

SpongeBob is the "best fry cook ever" at the Krusty Krab, where he has to deal with his miserly boss Mr. Krabs and the grumpy cashier Squidward Tentacles. SpongeBob is always landing himself (and his friends!) in hot soup despite the best of intentions. His enthusiasm and optimism are endearing and infectious, making him one of the best-loved characters by children and adults alike.

This is great news that 'Friend or Foe' is now released as, come on now, who else could entertain my 3 year old, my teenage son and my suit and tie wearing husband?! Nobody but SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Sandy and Squidward. SpongeBob is the sweetest, most innocent nerd ever. Patrick is the bestest friend a sponge ever had. Mr. Krabs is hilarious as the money-grubbing boss. Sandy, well, I haven't figured her out yet. And, Squidward, the lovable foil to all of SpongeBob and Patrick's adventures.

We own all four seasons of SpongeBob and have it playing on one of the television in our house at all times, literally. Seven new episodes ... my fav ep thus far is 'Night Light' where Spongbob reads a scary book before bedtime and then everything suddenly starts to go 'bump' in the night! Just watch his facial expressions change every three seconds or quicker! Great stuff! Tarter sauce, I have to go now but know that this new DVD is well worth it for entertainment and fun.
