Title - ‘She’s So Unusual: REMiXED EP’
Artist - Cyndi Lauper

Cyndi Lauper was one of the biggest stars of the early MTV era, selling five million copies of her debut album, She's So Unusual, as well as scoring a string of four Top Ten hits from the record, including the major hits, 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' and 'Time After Time.'

Lauper's thin, girlish voice and gleefully ragtag appearance became one of the most distinctive images of the early '80s, which helped lead her not only to the top of the charts, but also to stardom.

Having just released earlier this year, She's So Unusual: A 30th Anniversary Celebration (Deluxe Edition), it's a bit strange that now she is bringing out this‘She’s So Unusual: REMiXED EP, in truth.

That said, this 6 track EP is incredible to listen to. Even if you were never a fan of Lauper's vocal tone, but we're born in the 80's, the flashback here is wonderful. That said, perhaps you're more of a techno beats fan? Well, if you still love the 80's just with DJ back beats and scratching involved, this is gonna be right up your street!

The track-listing for this iTunes-only digital release is:

01. Time After Time (2023 NERVO OCT 30 Remix)
02. Time After Time (Alex Gaudino & Jason Rooney Remix)
03. Girls Just Want To Have Fun (2013 Alternate Yolanda Be Cool Remix)
04. Time After Time (The Lord Warddd Remix)
05. Girls Just Want To Have Fun (2013 Anamanaguchi Remix, Mix 2)
06. Time After Time (Bent Collective)

Now, admittedly this EP doesn't stray too far from just the two (2) songs, which is a great shame, but at least it's new, it's fresh, and yet it's got comfort music written all over it. Accelerated beats, pumped up vocals, swoops and sways galore, it's not your mother's 80's sounds, but for today, for here and now, it is 100% perfect.
