Title - 'Christmas In Valhalla'
Artist - THOR

For those not in the know, Thor (stylized as THOR) is a heavy metal band from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Thor started out as a concept band in 1973. They used the names "Thor", "Centaur" and "Mikl Body Rock". These entities were the brainchild of Jon Mikl Thor, a vocalist, musician and body building champion who won titles such as Mr. USA and Mr. World Canada.

He decided to combine muscle with music. In every show Jon Mikl Thor would appear as "Thor The Rock Warrior". Mikl Body Rock aka "Thor" toured throughout North America seeking fame and to garnish enough attention to secure a record deal.

The press dubbed them "Kings of Muscle Rock" or "Warriors of Gladiator Rock".

Releasing their 29th album this October 26th, 2018 via DeadLine Records, the ultimate metal head stocking stuffer known as Christmas In Valhalla is the very first holiday album from the legendary metal viking!

Featuring nine (9) original Christmas songs that are sure to become headbanging classics, and recorded with the same band from Thor's excellent album Beyond The Pain Barrier (2017), the sweepingly gorgeous cover illustration is by Marvel UK comic illustrator, Simon Williams.

1. 'Donner And Blitzen'
2. 'Gonna Have A Rockin' Christmas'
3. 'It's Christmas Time Again'
4. 'Slay Rider'
5. 'Our Last Christmas'
6. 'Lend Me Your Ears'
7. 'Not So Little Drummer Boy'
8. 'If Tomorrow Never Comes'
9. 'Cold St. Nick'

The brilliantly tongue-in-cheek, yet desperately wanting to be taken seriously Xmas fest kicks off with the blistering indie-sounding attack of 'Donner And Blitzen' and backs that up with both the heavier metal vibes of both 'Gonna Have A Rockin' Christmas' and then the near spoken-word ballad, 'It's Christmas Time Again'.

The brilliant 'Slay Rider' is THOR at his metal best, and that's followed by another ballad in the form of the musical 'Our Last Christmas.' The screeching 'Lend Me Your Ears' is then backed by interestingly-created, minute long instrumental, 'Not So Little Drummer Boy.'

'If Tomorrow Never Comes' is a a rather fun sing-along and then the festive album comes to a close with the just-under-two-minutes long storytelling of 'Cold St. Nick.'
