Lives Lived Well [PBS]
(DVD / G / (2018) 2021 / PBS)

Overview: Lives Well Lived celebrates the incredible wit and wisdom of people aged 75-103, who reveal their secrets for living a meaningful life.

Encompassing 3,000 years of collective life experience, diverse people share life lessons about perseverance, the human spirit, and staying positive in the midst of life’s greatest challenges.

DVD Verdict: Directed by Sky Bergman, Narrated by Sky Bergman and featuring actors: Evelyn Ricciuti, Dr. Lou Tedone, Emmy Cleaves, Bob Cleaves, Rose Albano Ballestero, Susy Eto Bauman, Blanche Brown, Evy Justesen, Santi Visalli, Wachtang Botso Korisheli, Ciel Bergman, Dr. Edward Okun, Marion Wolff, and Paul Wolff, PBS’s Lives Lived Well shares stories that will make you laugh, cry, but mostly inspire you!

Simply put, this delightful documentary portrays aging in a positive and inspired light! Lives Well Lived highlights that it is never too late to learn, dream and grow and throughout the film maker does a beautiful job of reminding us that older adults are a valuable and meaningful source of wisdom.

Stemming from the idea that everyone has their own definition of a life well lived, it encourages the audience to make every effort to unearth others’ stories and reflect.

The cast of older adults proves that age isn’t so much a number, but a culmination of accomplishments, trials, and lessons learned along the way. A unique view of the true essence of aging and time!

Furthermore, the 40 older men and women (age 75-103, but still very young at heart) interviewed were such a joy to watch and listen to. They exuded positivity, an eagerness to embrace each day, a desire to learn, a sense of wonder, contentment.

In closing, if we could all watch the documentary and follow their examples, what happy people we would be and what a very special place we would inhabit! HIGHLY recommended! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.78:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
