Scooby-Doo! 13 Spooky Tales: Surfs Up Scooby-Doo!
(Various / 2-DVD / NR / 2015 / Warner Bros.)

Overview: For Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and the rest of the crime-busting crew, life is never a day at the beach. So when the Gang go to a resort in Florida for a much-needed vacation, they kick back and enjoy some sun, sand and… a sea monster?! When a weird, water creature causes trouble in paradise by stealing precious jewels, the Gang will either sink, or swim to solve the case. Also, watch Scooby-Doo make a splash in 12 more fun-filled summertime episodes full of nautical nuisances.

DVD Verdict: OK, for those not completely in the back story know, 'Scooby-Doo!,' this show is definitely one of the classic series' in animation. You had four kids (the hunk, the beauty, the nerdy chick and the supposed stoner) joined by a huge cowardly dog who go around solving mysteries all over the country in a green, flower covered van. This show was so funny that it still watchable today. Forget the latter versions with all the stupid members of Scooby's family (Scooby Dum and of course that insufferable brat Scrappy). This will always be a classic!

In 'Scooby-Doo! 13 Spooky Tales: Surfs Up Scooby-Doo!,' the Gang go to a resort in Florida for a much-needed vacation, where they can kick back and enjoy some sun, sand and ... a sea monster?! When a weird, water creature causes trouble in paradise by stealing precious jewels, the Gang will either sink, or swim to solve the case.

The big question is, will the Gang "throw in the towel" when they face aquatic apparitions, haunted lighthouses, and other oceanic oddities or will they "kick sand in their collective faces" and "ride the waves" to successful conclusions?!

I think we all know the answer to that question, but (and aside from the actual episodes - there's just something that's magical about the work of Bill Hanna and Joseph Barbera's work that stands out in my mind; still today. I can't thank Bill and Joe enough for their work, because I have a lot of great memories of coming home from school and watching their shows that they made so memorable. I appreciated a lot of the work that Mr Hanna and Mr Barbera did and what it means to a lot of people.

Pick up this collection today so the entire family can ride the wave of scary fun and adventure with Scooby-Doo! These 12 "splash zone" fun-filled summertime episodes are chock full of nautical nuisances that you, and your kids will love - over and over, trust me! These are all Standard Versions enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
