Title - Isolation Boulevard
Artist - Sweet

For those unaware, Sweet are a British Rock Band with a pedigree of hit singles under their collective belts from the past few decades!

Songs such as Fox on The Run, Ballroom Blitz, Action, Love is Like Oxygen and many more have graced the airwaves and our ears seemingly forever, and their 1975 album Desolation Boulevard has truly stood the test of time; keeping the band as relevant today as it was back then.

And now, much to the excitement of fans worldwide, Sweet has released a new album Isolation Boulevard (out now via Prudential Music Group) which is a reworking of many of the original tracks, including the latest single Set Me Free, written by original guitarist and producer Andy Scott.

Indeed he has led the band since 1985 maintaining the high standards set more than 50 years ago when Sweet first burst onto the music scene.

1. Fox On The Run (2020)
2. Still Got The Rock (2020)
3. Action (2020)
4. Love Is Like Oxygen (2020)
5. Hellraiser (2020)
6. The Sex Teens (2020)
7. Blockbuster (2020)
8. Set Me Free (2020)
9. Teenage Rampage (2020)
10. Turn It Down (2020)
11. New York Groove (2020)
12. Ballroom Blitz (2020)

On what are the first recordings by the revamped Sweet line-up that sees original member guitarist Scott and long serving drummer Bruce Bisland joined by bassist/backing vocalist Lee Small (Phenomena, Shy, Lionsheart) and vocalist Paul Manzi (Cats In Space, Arena), they open with their gently updated blockbuster Fox On The Run and back it up seamlessly with the foot-tapping Still Got The Rock, the frenetic Action, the pop rock of Love Is Like Oxygen, and then both the beautifully crafted Hellraiser and the acoustically-imbued The Sex Teens.

The absolutely magnificent Blockbuster is up next and is followed by the free flowing guitar rock of Set Me Free, the swirling ambiance of Teenage Rampage, the AOR of Turn It Down, before rounding out on the foot-stomping New York Groove, closing on the career-making, 70s rock glamor of Ballroom Blitz.

Recorded between lockdowns in September/October 2020, this newly envisioned album harks back to Sweets golden era and the 1975 album of its original title and with vocalist Paul Manzi now on vocals (which he has been deputizing for Tony OHara for a few years now in the Sweet, mainly when they were touring Australia), this newly envisioned album is a right royal breath of fresh air!

The cover artwork tips a hat to Desolation Boulevard, 1975 and the bands first headline tours where the comparisons between the old and new are obvious, as they are both a compilation of the best of Sweets recordings, satisfaction guaranteed!
