Title - 'Sons of the Pioneers: The Lost Masters'
Artist - Sons of the Pioneers

Sons of the Pioneers: The Lost Masters will be released March 13th, 2020 via Country Rewind Records / Western Heritage Collection (and will be distributed by Select-O-Hits) and was produced by Rex Allen Jr. for Boxer Productions at Jim Farrell Studios, Towanda, KS and Executive Producer Thomas Gramuglia, with mastering by Jim Farrell and John Forbes.

Country Rewind Records has dedicated itself to bring classic country with this contemporary feel to not only the past country fans but also to the new country listeners by bringing unreleased traditional Country music into the contemporary Country era.

Sons of the Pioneers that appear on the original The Lost Masters recording various times include Lloyd Perryman, Pat Brady, Tommy Doss, Shug Fisher, Karl Farr, Roy Lanham, Hugh Farr, Dale Warren, Rusty Richards, Bob Minser and Billy Armstrong.

1. 'Cowboy Jubilee' (Ken Carson)
2. 'Blue Prairie' (Bob Nolan, Tim Spencer)
3. 'Open Range Ahead' (Bob Nolan)
4. 'When Payday Rolls Around' (Bob Nolan)
5. 'Wind' (Bob Nolan)
6. 'Yippi Yi Your Troubles Away' (Tim Spencer)
7. 'The Everlasting Hills of Oklahoma' (Tim Spencer)
8. 'A Cowboy Has to Sing' (Bob Nolan)
9. 'Along the Navajo Trail' (Larry Marks, Dick Charles, Eddie De Lange)

11. 'Cimarron (Roll on)' (Johnny Bond)
12. 'Chant of the Plains (I Need You)' (Bob Nolan)
13. 'Whoopie Ti Yi Yo' (Traditional)
14. 'Song of the Trail' (Stan Jones)
15. 'Ridin’ Home' (Bob Nolan)
16. 'Chant of the Wanderer' (Bob Nolan)

This quite stunning, era evoking 16-track album kicks off in some fine style with the upbeat, fun sing-along of 'Cowboy Jubilee' (Ken Carson) and backs that up with the late evening sway of 'Blue Prairie' (Bob Nolan, Tim Spencer), the mid-tempo storytelling of 'Open Range Ahead' (Bob Nolan), and both the full steam ahead vibe of of 'When Payday Rolls Around' (Bob Nolan), and the lush ballad 'Wind' (Bob Nolan).

Next up we get the foot-tappin' magnificence of 'Yippi Yi Your Troubles Away' (Tim Spencer) ["When you cut loose, watch you troubles vamoose"], which is followed by the gentle rhythmic sway of 'The Everlasting Hills of Oklahoma' (Tim Spencer).

Then we get one of my own personal favorites on this quite beautiful collection, the tuneful Country storytelling of 'A Cowboy Has to Sing' (Bob Nolan), which is backed by the front porch crooning of 'Along the Navajo Trail' (Larry Marks, Dick Charles, Eddie De Lange), and then the instructional 'Hold That Critter Down' (Bob Nolan), and the stirring 'Cimarron (Roll on)' (Johnny Bond).

The album then rounds out with the upbeat one-two beats of 'Chant of the Plains (I Need You)' (Bob Nolan), which is followed by the swaying 'Whoopie Ti Yi Yo' (Traditional), and comes to a close with the rousing 'Song of the Trail' (Stan Jones), the yearning ballad 'Ridin’ Home' (Bob Nolan), and then winds down with the magnificent melodies of 'Chant of the Wanderer' (Bob Nolan).

“Being a current member of The Sons Of The Pioneers, I am very pleased to hear that Country Rewind Records is releasing the lost masters of the Son's," exclaims Dusty Rogers.

"My father founded this group back in 1934 and I am so proud to now be part of this very talented group of fellas. This year we are celebrating 86 years of continuous entertainment and it is wonderful to know our music will continue on into the future to countless new generations of western music fans.”

"On this fine CD the songs written and performed by the Sons of the Pioneers will be sung a thousand years from now; perhaps on other planets,” shared Roy “Dusty” Rogers Jr. “What a great heritage to have left the world.”
