New Christine Evans Info

It's Been Quite A Week For Christine Evans!!

Christine Evans has just this week received more recognition in the shape of four (4) nominations for this year’s Canadian Gospel Music Covenant Awards - to be handed out in Calgary on October 26, 2007:

'Gloria' - Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year
'Push' - Video of the Year
'Push' - Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year
Christine Evans - Female Vocalist of the Year

And, if that wasn't enough, she's also received one major nomination for this year’s Western Canadian Music Awards – winners to be announced in Moose Jaw on October 21. Voting closes October 4 – so VOTE NOW!

And ...... Christine is also recognized by CCM Magazine in their Reader’s Choice Awards – fans should go to www.ccmmagazine.com to vote for her:

And, we can’t forget that Christine was the only finalist in TWO (2) categories for this year’s international John Lennon Songwriting Contest - although she did not win, she made the top three in Gospel/Inspirational and Pop categories!

This has been an exciting week for Christine Evans who also gave an astonishing performance during “Tribute – A Concert Honoring the Teachers of America” - a joint initiative between The United Federation of Teachers and New York City PBS flagship stations, WNET, Channel 13 and WLIW, Channel 21 (taped for later broadcast on PBS).

Christine returns to Toronto, October 20 to participate in the Change Conference being held at the Queensway Cathedral in Mississauga – she, Pillar and Mercy Train, will be featured artists. Christine’s success on Christian radio is building at a great rate. Her latest single, Surrender has been added at 38 stations across Canada and is currently charted at #5 AC.

PUSH provided her with the Album of the Year award this April at the Island Music awards, adding to her previous Song of the Year awards in 2004 and 2005.
