Overview: Matt Passmore is back as Jim Longworth - a Chicago detective who relocates to South Florida - in the compelling and wryly humorous second season of The Glades. When he's not hitting the links, Longworth is haunted by old ghosts, facing an intriguing caseload of baffling homicides.

DVD Verdict: Season one of 'THE GLADES' introduced us to the main characters, who they were and how they ticked. Basically, the show focuses Jim Longworth (Matt Passmore), a Chicago detective who made a mistake and was forced out of town. Longworth now works in a small Florida town for the State Police in their homicide division. His methods are unusual, he seems lax, but is arres rate is top notch.

In the first episode, 'FAMILY MATTERS,' we get no recap and are straight into the action. It focuses on the Latino side of Florida and the "families" that operate there. In 'OLD GHOSTS,' we begin in Chicago where a serial killer is back at it. Soon the lead detective, an ex of Longworth (of course) is tracking the Northside Strangler to Florida. In 'LOST AND FOUND,' a Naval Officer's body is found in some undergrowth and a `new' forensic nurse is given to Longworth ie: his on-and-off again love interest Callie!

In 'MOONLIGHTING,' a 12 year-old girl is caught driving a fast sports car - with a dead body in the trunk! This episode also features a slew of real NASCAR drivers in cameos! In 'LITTLE DIRTY SECRETS,' an ex-con is found murdered, and comes with a fantastic twist ending! In 'GIBTOWN,' a town of the strange and bizarre circus acts left out to seed, a small woman is found murdered. And in 'ADDICTED TO LOVE,' a man dies at a strip club and it all revolves around a drugs scam.

In 'SECOND SKIN,' a Church member is killed and laid out on their alter - one with a bed of snakes in a glass box underneath! In 'IRON PIPELINE,' a High School coach is killed, but it is more to do with guns and kids! And this one also features a HUGE twist ending! In 'SWAMP THING,' a man gets eaten by a wild boar, but this episode revolves more about Callie and Longworth still not having figured out what they have together!

In 'BEACHED,' a man is found dead and buried on a highly-populated beach, and in 'SHINE,' a man is found dead under the cruise boat - featuring en mass of Hemmingway's (re: it's his birthday!). A story of powerful moonshine, it also features Callie getting a HUGE offer to relocate and take a better paying job. In the final episode, 'BREAKOUT,' kids find a dead body in the canal, but that's just the start of an incredible go-go-go episode. It also features a massive hospital stand-off and a nice twist ending too! This is a Full Screen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of:
