'Army Wives: Complete Fourth Season'
(Kim Delaney, Catherine Bell, Brian McNamara, Brigid Brannagh, Wendy Davis, et al / 4-Disc DVD / PG / 2010 / ABC)

Overview: Relive the heart-warming drama of one of America's most beloved series with Army Wives: The Complete Fourth Season. Experience the inspirational stories of four women and one man who are married to those serving in the military as they try to balance family life with the all-encompassing call of duty.

DVD Verdict: Back in the day, 'Army Wives' was named one of the top 10 shows of 2007 for a reason. The show is extremely well written and has an awesome ensemble cast!! For those who are JAG fans (like myself) you will get to see Catherine Bell (Mac of JAG).

CB and everyone on the show do a beautiful job of depicting life for military spouses. It does have a lot of drama but it also has very humorous parts as well.

But, in truth, 'Army Wives' makes me cry almost every episode, but that is part of why I like it. The women in this show make me feel normal again. The people around me, for the most part, wouldn't understand things like being careful about how you wake someone up, unless they are one of the soldiers. Missing someone and hoping they are still okay too. Although lately there seem to be more people that get this one. I might not be an army wife, and I might not live on a base, but there are lots of people like me out there, that have friends and family that aren't active unless they are deployed.

As for the season four plot(s), well, Claudia Joy is dealing with her daughter Emmalin’s (Pippy) final year of high school and knee injury (which could cut short her dream of playing hockey in college), and the crisis her husband Michael (McNamara) has in Afghanistan. She also discovers she wants to return to law school and become a lawyer.

Denise struggles with Jeremy’s (Bryant) breakdown and his decision to stay in the army once he recovers. She also discovers her life with her husband Frank (Serpico) is about to drastically change.

Roxy suffers with an extremely tragic event, and the deployment of Trevor (Fuller) – who was supposed to get to stay in the states, but is deployed due to his experience.

Pamela (Brannagh) goes through the most change this season as her marriage continues to fall apart and her character is forced to make her husband Chase (Davidson) pick between her or Delta. This Season 4 DVD has a lot of extras, such as behind the scenes and outakes. Ergo, 'Army Wives' is well worth buying! You will not be disappointed!
