'Ralph Breaks The Internet' [Blu-ray+DVD]
(John C, Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch, et al / Blu-ray + DVD + Digital / PG-13 / 2019 / Walt Disney Studios)

Overview: From Walt Disney animation Studios comes the hilarious adventure 'Ralph Breaks The Internet'.

Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope risk it all by traveling to the Internet in search of a part to save her game.

When Vanellope embraces this thrilling new world, Ralph realizes he may lose the only friend he's ever had.

Blu-ray Verdict: Walt Disney Studios brings forth yet another diamond gem from their current catalogue in the form of the hysterically funny 'Ralph Breaks The Internet,' our February 26th, 2019.

So, what we have is 'Ralph Breaks The Internet' presented to us as a two-disc combo pack with a sheet for a Digital HD Copy. Other stand out points you should know are: Codec: MPEG-4 AVC; Resolution: 1080p; and Original aspect ratio: 2.39:1.

There's also something crisper with the overall clarity here on the most colorful of scenes, themselves receiving an obvious boost for the Blu-ray edition.

For as well as some new nuances to the somewhat drab palette courtesy of Dolby Vision we also get to witness sudden bright pops of color; like in the whole Meet the Princesses scene where they are all wearing different colored items.

Indeed, the picture enjoys the fruits of the added resolution in terms of bringing out the aforementioned extremely fine facial and some of the yellow graded material (notably the end credit scenes which are all over the shop, sure, but oh-so colorful and amazing.

As for the audio, well we have: English: DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1; French: Dolby Digital 5.1; and Spanish: Dolby Digital 5.1.

Overall, this is a very strong visual creation for the Blu-ray from the Walt Disney Animation team, that's for sure.

Phew! OK, so, as for the movie itself, 'Ralph Breaks the Internet' is considered by many to be a letdown of the previous film, but in my opinion, I actually like this movie better.

Now, I still really like the first film, but THIS one just played the enjoyability to a whole new level (no pun intended). It's absolutely hilarious and entertaining in so many different ways, and I think that it's truly one of the best Disney sequels out there (excluding Pixar sequels).

What's the story? Video game bad guy Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz must risk it all by traveling to the World Wide Web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope's video game, "Sugar Rush."

In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet - the netizens - to help navigate their way, including an entrepreneur named Yesss, who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site BuzzzTube.

What is it about this movie that makes it better than the original? Well, the best thing that this movie has to be, hands down, the Internet itself. Unlike a specific animated movie (cough, cough, The Emoji Movie) that shoved down every single product placement down your throat, this movie manages to save those big products as a little cameo.

The products that DO get the main focus, on the other hand, are the fictional ones like Slaughter Race, BuzzzTube, KnowsMore, among others.

Also, there are tons and tons of little references scattered throughout the entire film, and I think they are just absolutely hilarious, ESPECIALLY that scene with the Disney Princesses.

It's not one of those movies that puts all the exciting stuff in the trailers, but it leaves you with a whole lot of surprises. Also, the animation is unbelievable, and the entire environment that the movie is set in looks colorful and innovative.

Also, the friendship message isn't really hammered down with Ralph and Vaniellope splitting ways in the middle of the film, it's actually done in a very subtle manner, and it can even spark up some key emotional set pieces into the film.

One more thing that I'd like to mention about this film is that there are two post-credit scenes, and they're both great. Not gonna go into detail or anything, I mean, after all, this IS a non-spoiler review, but they're enjoyable and fun. So stick around after the end credits to get a look at them!

In conclusion, 'Ralph Breaks the Internet' is one of those sequels that not only improves on its predecessor, but makes it feel bigger as well.

The characters are very likable, the story is engaging, the animation is terrific, and the entire world around the characters is just extremely fascinating.

This is a recommendation to anyone who loved the first 'Wreck-It Ralph' and for those who love the Internet. You'll enjoy every frame of it. This is a Widescreen Presentation (2.39:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of:

Deleted Scenes
How We Broke The Internet Featurette
Easter Eggs
And More!
