Verdict: For those not in the know, Børge Rosenbaum (3 January 1909 – 23 December 2000), known professionally as Victor Borge, was a Danish and American comedian, conductor, and pianist who achieved great popularity in radio and television in the United States and Europe.
Indeed, his unique blend of music and comedy earned him the nicknames "The Clown Prince of Denmark," "The Unmelancholy Dane," and "The Great Dane."
On Volume 1 we get seven side-splitting specials from the archives, inclusive of aforementioned comedy bits like Count Fall-Off-Of Play Something on the Piano, and The Mozart Opera, classical performances of Clair de Lune and selections from Carmen, and much more!
