(DVD / PG / 2018 / PBS)
Overview: From lobster claws and dog teeth to bee stings and snake fangs, every creature depends on a weapon.
Showcasing astonishing wildlife cinematography, 'Extreme Animal Weapons' investigates the riddle of outsize weaponry, uncovers a bold new theory about what triggers an animal arms race, and explores the secrets that underlies nature's battleground.
DVD Verdict: Directed and produced by Peter Fison, and narrated by Eric Meyers, 'NOVA: Extreme Animal Weapons' is one of the most incredible, enthralling hour's that I've spent watching a documentary in years.
The documentary, with incredible close up photography and cinematography, showcases the fact that most every creature on Earth depends on a weapon of some sort to survive. Ergo, 'Extreme Animal Weapons' brings forth imagery of animals with oversized weaponry, whilst at the same time uncovering a bold new theory about what triggers an animal battle in the very first place. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
