'Casual Encounters'
(Taran Killam, Brooklyn Decker, David Krumholtz, Mark Boone Junior, David Arquette, et al / DVD+Digital / R / 2016 / LGF)

Overview: When Justin's girlfriend of 5 years leaves him heartbroken and embarrassed after a public breakup, his trying to be helpful but somewhat misguided friends talk him into the strange world of on-line dating.

DVD Verdict: With lead actor Taran Killam currently being the biggest star on SNL right now, him starring in this semi-funny movie, 'Casual Encounters' is such great timing. The premise for the movie also sounds like a good vehicle for Killam to star in. Basically, it is in the tradition of both 'Office Space' and 'The 40 Year Old Virgin,' as it centers around a screwball, sexy saga of lovelorn office ins 'n' outs, so to speak!

When hapless-in-love office drone Justin (Killam) gets rudely dumped by his longtime girlfriend, his buddies convince him to meet new women via the online dating site, Casual Encounters. But as he has kinky, crazy hookups beyond his wildest dreams, Justin wonders if something is missing. Can quirky work pal Laura (Decker) help him meet the girl of his dreams, perhaps?

To be quite honest, Killam and Decker together are the highlight of the movie. Decker is actually very funny here and with Killam being super talented, funny, and handsome, well, why can't he progress nicely onward from SNL and be, well, the next Kristen Wiig (ie: what 'Bridesmaids' did for her). This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of:

"Casual Encounters: Under The Covers" Featurette
"Casual Encounters: Single and Looking" Featurette
