'Worst Friends'
(Richard Tanne, Noah Barrow, Cody Horn, Kristen Connolly, et al / DVD / NR / 2014 / Level 33 Entertainment)

Overview: 'Worst Friends' is the story of two childhood friends who are forced to re-think their friendship as adults. When Jake (Richard Tanne) is injured in a car accident, the only person willing to take care of him is his childhood friend Sam (Noah Barrow). With the aid of a tough-as-nails physical therapist (Cody Horn), Sam helps Jake recuperate, but when Sam's high school crush (Kristen Connolly) enters the picture, old habits and bitter rivalries resurface, threatening to tear their friendship apart!

DVD Verdict: OK, let's get this out of the way immediately: I actually liked this A LOT! There's some laughs, there's some tears, and so it's one of those all-around good flicks. Basically, and I mean basically, a guy is hit by an ice cream truck and when his low-life dad skips town, his best friend growing up has to nurse him back to health.

To say they don't get along is a MASSIVE understatement! They pretty much hate each other from the start, which was one of the things I didn't fully understand, but I guess there are just some people like that in life. Aren't there? Anyway, the main character, Jake (Richard Tanne) will remind you of everyone you loved to hate growing up. You know that sound Jim Carrey makes as the most annoying sound in the world in 'Dumb and Dumber'? That's this guy for pretty much the entire movie, but it's that way for a reason, you'll see! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
