'Afternoon Delight' [Blu-ray]
(Jane Lynch, Kathryn Hahn, Juno Temple, Josh Radnor, et al / Blu ray / R / 2014 / Docurama)

Overview: A provocative comedy about sex, marriage and finding yourself again, AFTERNOON DELIGHT follows Rachel (Kathryn Hahn, Step Brothers, We re the Millers), a quick-witted, yet tightly-coiled, thirty-something bored with her daily routine of preschool auctions and a lackluster sex life and career that has gone kaput.

Blu ray Verdict: One major selling point of this movie is, accidently or not, that fact that alcohol and food can both cause you to make bad decisions. Ergo, these can/will turn into very bad consequences!

And as soon as the plot begins to show itself, you get that dread in your stomach that says been here, done this before - and whether it be on screen or in real life, yup, you have!

That said, things do play out like this in real life so let's give it a shot, shall we, please. There were so many sex scenes though that it does become somewhat off putting and head turning at one (several) points. Those could have been tempered down, for sure.

Come the end of her mistakes, well, a good message, of sorts was born: Don't take those you love for granted. Which, sadly for this writer, he has done tens of dozen's of times! And for the record, he's not happy or proud of himself either! This is a Widescreen Presentation (2.40:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of a Behind-the-Scenes featurette and an Audio Commentary with Director and Kathryn Hahn.
