'Hippos & Rhinos' go way beyond an known documentary that I've seen in that it makes the viewer feel like part of the family ... while watching the aforementioned hippopotamus, Jessica, live daily life with her adoptive human parents.

I mean, it's not as easy as it sounds having Jessica around! One has to learn all the do's and dont's of sharing your household with such an animal. Also, one has to seriously consider the dietary habits of said animal, along with where she feels comfortable relieving herself each day!

Watching 'Hippos & Rhinos' teaches the viewer how wild animals behave whilst giving them a glimpse into the life (in this case) of a hippo named Jessica!

Clear cinematography and pure sound help the viewer feel as if they’re part of the action in this unique household where a hippo sleeps with dogs and receives a nightly massage using aromatherapy!

And the very same can be said of Tatenda the Rhino! Wildlife conservationist Saba Douglas Hamilton directs us through the human jungle here as we get to know Tatenda also in as much detail as possible.

If you love the Animal Planet then you'll already have fallen in love with the incredible 'Meerkat Manor' series. People cannot seem to get enough of the meerkats as they compete to survive in the Kalahari desert. That said, watching this new show and showing kids how they would be able to raise a wild hippo themselves is pricesless.
