'Brothers of a Feather: Live at the Roxy'
(Chris & Rich Robinson / 2-Disc DVD / NR / 2007 / Eagle Vision)

Overview: Get up close and personal with The Black Crowes' Chris and Rich Robinson and their stunningly intimate Brothers of a Feather performance, culled from a 3-night sold out stand at The Roxy in LA. Featuring a first time ever acoustic mix of Black Crowes favorites, rarities, solo material, new songs and covers, the DVD/CD set captures the intimacy of the performances from the Robinsons never captured on tape before.

DVD Verdict: Just watched this for the first time last night and ... WOW! I've always had a lot of respect for Chris and Rich Robinson because, to me, they always seemed authentic; a characteristic that is hard to find in today's plasticized music. It took a lot of guts to go out there and perform these songs in such a raw, bare bones fashion. But in doing so, and doing it extermely well, they have shown us how dedicated they are to performing high quality, real music. Buy this DVD immediately. Dim the lights, light a few candles, burn some incense, settle in on the couch, press play and get ready for 110 minutes of great Amoricana music. Music that is both intimate and powerful. This is a Full Screen Presentation (1.33:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs, but does not come any Special Features.
