'Pinky & The Brain - Volume 3'
(Corey Burton, Joe Lala, et al / 4-Disc DVD / NR / (1995) 2007 / Warner Bros.)

Overview: Two lab mice, ("One is a genius, the other insane") living in the Acme labs seek to formulate a plan for the duo, led by Brain, to take over the world. Watch each episode as Pinky and the Brain take on each attempt with a dry wit and humor and likely a parody of other media. 22 Episodes from the Emmy® Award Winning Series for the first time on DVD.

DVD Verdict: Pinky and the Brain has to be my favorite cartoon of all time. From bizzare plans to take over the world to even more bizarre plans to make those bizzare plans work, Pinky and the Brain's shenanigans never get old. Strange and interesting characters, ranging from Brain's nemesis Snowball to Pinky's horse/girlfriend, as well as the occasional anamaniac appearances, round out the outrageous cast of the show. The joy that they seem to take in slamming Bill Clinton and other famous figures (although mostly Clinton!), is just so infectious that you can't help but laugh! And even better are the deep themes that appear if you watch closely enough ... but don't affect the hilarity of the show if you don't notice them - which makes the show fun to watch for everyone. I even wrote a paper on one of the episodes for my composition class. This show certainly beats some of the dross that graces our screens these days and had the nerve to demand that its audience had some intelligence. Not laugh-a-minute but still a classic. Indeed, there will never be another cartoon of Pinky and the Brain's high class caliber. This show is/was the perfect thing to enjoy with your children and friends. It may take some convincing to get them to watch, but once they do they will be hooked! I am a Pinky and the Brain fan for life and so should you and your kids be! This is a Standard Version Presentation (1.66:1) and comes with the Special Features of:

It's All Anout the Fans - Rob Paulsen (Voice of Pinky) and Maurice LaMarche (Voice of the Brain) Pay Tribute
