'The King of Queens - The Complete Fifth Season'
(Kevin James, Leah Remini, et al / 3-Disc DVD / NR / (1998) 2006 / Sony Pictures)

Overview: It's the fifth eason of 'The King of Queens' and the laughs get bigger than ever! Join Kevin James as Doug Heffernan, the down-to-earth deliveryman who's livin' life large, Leah Remini (Carrie), the spitfire wife, and Jerry Stiller (Arthur) as their wacky but loveable perennial houseguest.

DVD Verdict: A man's house is his castle, so the saying goes, and it definitely holds true for Queens postal worker Doug Heffernan (Kevin James, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND), who treasures his home, his wife, Carrie (Leah Remini, FIRED UP), and his 70-inch television. Burly Doug, who makes a living as a parcel deliveryman, often has to scheme to find time alone with Carrie, as Arthur can be quiet a handful -- so much so that they hired a dog-walker, Holly, to look after him. When he's not working, clashing with Arthur, or nesting with Carrie, Doug hangs with his advice-giving buddies Deacon (Victor Williams ) and Spence (Patton Oswalt), as well as his cousin Danny ('Gary Valentine'). Oddly, their next door neighbor is actor Lou Ferrigno who plays himself and makes a couple of appearances a season with no explanation why he would be living in Queens! That aside, in season five Carrie briefly finds religion, Doug gets jealous of her "work spouse," and Arthur fights an addiction to nasal spray. And therein lies the wonderful character played by Jerry Stiller. Arthur, Carrie's father, is the classic oddball of the family who is often seen causing regular chaos through his numerous antics and getting on Doug's bad side. Stiller's comedic timing is A+ and you can see where his son Ben now gets it all from! These are Full Screen presentations (1.33:1), has all the 25 fifth season episodes on 3 discs, and comes the Special Features of just an English Language Track.
