'I Ain't Scared of You: A Tribute to Bernie Mac'
(Bernie Mac, Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Cedric the Entertainer, Bill Bellamy, et al / DVD / NR / 2012 / IMAGE Entertainment)

Overview: 'I Ain't Scared of You: A Tribute to Bernie Mac' is a film about the life and career of Bernie Mac (1957-2008). It was his first appearance on Def Comedy Jam when he took the mic and immediately exclaimed to the audience 'I Ain't Scared of You!,' turning their boos into cheers.

DVD Verdict: 'I Ain't Scared of You: A Tribute to Bernie Mac' is as good as you would hope it to be, trust me! Indeed, this is a very nice tribute to one of the all-time comic greats. Biased, sure, but who didn't fall in love with this comedic genius? Bernie Mac was very unique with his comedy and he made everyone laugh. EVERYONE!

The tributes here are given by Chris Rock, DL Hughley, Cameron Diaz, Andy Garcia, etc. etc. and were very on point and gave you a true insight into why everyone loved The Mac so much - and still miss him to this very day. "One of the greatest comedians of all time," is mentioned more than once - and correctly.

As Bernie Mac himself admits on a voice over, "I'm a comedian. People know me as Bernie Mac." It's just as simple as that! We see some old stand up from Mac, under his real name, at the Regal Theatre back in 1990. "We were so poor we ate our cereal with a fork!" Oh, and for a bit of fun, Mac was the only person to ever hit Samuel L. Jackson with a golf ball! And one of his best quotes that he left us with - "Man, if I go broke, that means broke's back in style!" This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.77:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
