Overview: It's the final season of Hannah Montana, the show that redefined television and inspired a generation of young girls. You've been part of Miley Stewart's life for four amazing years and have watched her grow up with her best friends Lilly and Oliver. Now it's senior year and Miley is at a crossroads. After all these years, does she still have the best of both worlds? Can she continue her alter ego, Hannah Montana, or will she leave it all behind to be an ordinary girl?
DVD Verdict: The basic premise of 'Hannah Montana Forever: Final Season' is that Miley finds herself at a crossroads during her senior year. Will she continue her alter-ego, or will she leave it all behind to be an ordinary girl?
Well, I'm not gonna give the game away, am I, yet it's safe to say that as this aired a while ago now on TV, most all fans of the show know the ending!
To an adult mind, watching along with their kids, 'Hannah Montana Forever: Final Season' is an enjoyable piece of fluff. It is not brainless nor mindless and does contain a lot of family values. The fact that both Miley and dad Billy have since come out publicly and denounced the show (in general) as what killed the inner, cute, good girl Miley (in real life), is a whole other topic of thought/discussion!
Anyhoo, this two-disc DVD set includes all 13 episodes from the final (fourth) season, three bonus features, and a 28-page commemorative Hannah Montana memory book of show trivia - oh, and a Hannah Montana photograph with signature!
And for those living under a rock for the past 5 years, 'Hannah Montana Forever' is about a young girl who combines a stage persona with creative costuming to keep her star secret safe and sound - even from her best, closest of friends! Indeed, Miley discovers she can have the best of both worlds - the fame and fortune of a well-known singer and the fun of middle and high school with her best friends, Lilly and Oliver.
How, is beyond me as she a) looks like herself with or without a series of wigs, and b) her nasal voice is instantly recognizable - with or without a wig!
That aside, in the Special Features, the cast gathering and saying goodbyes and thanks to the audience is very heartfelt. An alternate ending to the final show is, well, needless though. Nevertheless, this will make all Miley/Hannah fans VERY happy as this is truly the final Hannah gift to her fans. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85.1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Feature of:
• Alternate Ending to the Series Finale
• Cast Goodbyes
• From Audition To Wrap: The Cast Looks Back
