'Shaun The Sheep: Party Animals'
(Animated / DVD / NR / 2010 / LGF)

Overview: There’s no disguising the fun with Shaun the Sheep™ and his barnyard buddies in this party-fest of wild antics from the Oscar®-winning creators of “Wallace and Gromit™”. The farm is once again party central as Shaun, Bitzer, Timmy and those Naughty Pigs cause all sorts of mayhem, from flying cue balls and pillow fights to nights of disguise and intrigue!

DVD Verdict: For those not in the know - and why?! - 'Shaun The Sheep' is a British stop-motion animated series from the creators of Wallace and Grommit follows the barnyard adventures of Shaun. A sheep. That said, he is definitely a lot smarter than the rest of the flock.

But a sharp wit and a refined set of English manners can only go so far in the pasture - especially because neither Shaun, nor any of the characters can speak!!

Anyway, down on the farm it's once again party central as Shaun, Bitzer, Timmy and those Naughty Pigs cause all sorts of mayhem. From flying cue balls and pillow fights to nights of disguise and intrigue - all contained in these seven new revel-filled episodes on DVD only.

But, and this will only mean something to you hardened of 'Shaun' fans, it seem those in charge at Aardman Animations Ltd. have decided to change the look of the Farmer and Bitzer! Primarily, it's the mouths of both the Farmer and Bitzer, but it's enough to stop you in your viewing tracks - as a fan of course!

My God man, why?!

Indeed, and subsequently, this was very distracting and a little disappointing - especially if you've seen all the episodes! They have also added quite a few more background sound effects and noises that seem to overwhelm the previous quietness of the episodes gone by.

Maybe I'm being too picky, but I just know what I know and see/hear what I see/hear, sorry. I mean, sometimes there's value in quietness; it puntuates something to come - don't you agree?! This is a Full Screen Presentation (1.33:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs and comes with the Special Features of:

• Timmy’s Tune
• Building A Pig
