'When Strangers Click'
(Robert Kenner / DVD / NR / 2011 / DisInformation)

Overview: In this day and age of social networking on the Internet, millions of strangers become instant friends via the Internet. But can the virtual relationships shared in cyberspace be converted into real life romances of the lasting kind?

DVD Verdict: That's the basic premise (see above) and an interesting one at that! I mean, we all jump instantly to our own thoughts on the subject, but what documentary filmmaker Robert Kenner ('Food, Inc.') has done is actually follow five "lonely" people who sought love on the internet - and attempts to show what happened with the relationships they developed that were initaly formed on the net.

As they each freely reveal, finding love has never been easy - in life, in general, and for them specifically. And so, director Robert Kenner brings us 'When Strangers Click' (which is a brilliant title, if ever there was for such a film!) an entertaining and heartwarming documentary that (thankfully) shows the more positive outcomes to net-dating.

The followed five people - three men and two women - prove, very quickly, that as much as finding love has never been easy, it has now never been (made) easier! The five people are different to each other in jobs, looks, money, kids, and such. Indeed, one even found love in Second Life ie: soaring, creative animation!

They also show that it is a game of easy come, easy go, as a lot of "connections" are dropped along the way. An HBO Documentary film, 'When Strangers Click' is both informative and fun-to-view at the same time. So, if you are having difficulty in the "real world" of dating, check this film out for, well, online tips! This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
