'Stripped Naked'
(Linden Ashby, Guy Buller, Jon Cor, et al / DVD / NR / 2010 / Anchor Bay Entertainment)

Overview: When beautiful exotic dancer Cassie, gets into yet another fight with her deadbeat boyfriend, she finds herself stranded on the side of the road and witness to a drug deal gone bad. As the gunfire dies out Cassie sees three dead men, $90,000 in cash and drugs, and a golden opportunity too good to pass up.

DVD Verdict: 'Stripped Naked' is one of those films that just come at you, reel after reel, one spun out corner after another. Taking us on a wild ride through worlds that only cinema can safely provide, we dip our toes in the murky waters of double; and even triple crosses, guns; and even bigger guns, and women - oh Lordy Lord, those women!

Featuring Sarah Allen, Jon Cor, Mark Slacke, Cinthia Burke, and veteran actor, Linden Ashby (Mortal Kombat, Wyatt Earp, Resident Evil: Extinction), 'Stripped Naked' tells the story of a woman determined to get ahead in life - not matter what it takes. Cassie (Allen) is an exotic dancer who wants to get out of the business. Seemingly stuck in that seedy world, it's when she suddenly becomes a secret witness to a drug deal that she finally takes her chance, grabs the guns, the drugs, and the $90,000 in cash, and heads for the hills.

And therein lies the problem with this movie as she SHOULD have gotten out of dodge right there and then, but instead she goes home to hide it all in her house! Her clueless roomie Jade (Tommie-Amber Pirie) disposes of the drug dealer’s car, but also (unwittingly) draws the attention of Roddy (Mark Slacke), a hitman hired to recover the missing money and drugs.

So yeah, too many components of this story come together way too easily, but then again, it's just that which keeps this film ticking along very nicely. This is a Widescreen Presentation (1.85:1) enhanced for 16x9 TVs.
