As a longtime fan, I just want to first say that as enjoyable as this record is, from a vibrant, continuously creative mind/band, that it still won't sadly attract chart success. Their chart days are long gone, but their passion for their musical caft is obviously still in tact, thankfully.

Indeed, this is by far and away the finest collection of songs produced by the band since their reunion. Listened to over and over one week - the week it arived - and found it to be the perfect accompaniment to the summer sunshine! Dr Robert is in fine voice and the band are tight. I cannot find any fault with this album and thoroughly recommend it!

However, if you were not aware, the band are fronted by singer and guitarist Robert Howard (alias Dr. Robert), whose striking good looks and undeniable songwriting talent rewarded the band with a strong of hit records (‘Digging Your Scene’, ‘It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way’, ‘Choice?’, etc.).

And here, by way of a bonus for their fans, the package adds a second disc boasting unique and intimate solo performances of some Blow Monkeys classics by Dr. Robert on acoustic guitar! I mean, come on, how can you seriously go wrong with this CD (as a fan, or simply a fan of great music, in general?)

Although more reflective and laid-back on the whole, the band's pop sensibilities are still evident on the funky `Cover Me', while the title track just oozes class, with its Springtime vibe and optimistic lyrics set to a rolling beat.
