Title - 'The Sticky & Sweet Tour' (CD/DVD)
Artist - Madonna

No one dances like Madonna and no one performs like the Queen. All these wannabe divas should learn a thing or two from the Queen on how to be a great performer. She has endurance, energy and attitude. And Madonna has never looked her best than in this concert. Very sexy, very beautiful! Fantastic performer! It is obvious she loves performing and the love she gives to her audience is just returned to her. After more than 25 years, Madonna is still on top because she loves her craft and she is rewarded in return with a music career that is the benchmark of other female performers.

My favorite part of the show was the Vogue medley where the song "Vogue" is sung live amidst fantastic choreography. The song is even interspersed with parts of "4 Minutes" which was such a creative idea. I also loved the rock version of "Borderline," (after all these years, the song still sounds current),"She's not me" where she confronts her own images (really fun - you could hear the audience reacting), "Miles Away" which she dedicated to her loving audience, and the "La Isla Bonita" portion which is so colorful and festive. Of course, the usual show-stoppers were given fresh treatment like "Into the Groove," "Music," "Like A Prayer," "Ray of Light," "Hung Up," and the finale "Give it to me," which was surprisingly so well-received by the audience. I had misgivings about the impact of this song since it was largely ignored in her home country but the audience loved this very danceable song nevertheless.

Truly a music icon! Her contemporaries in the 80s have been relegated to oblivion because fame is fleeting but Madonna is still there - current and relevant to popular music because she constantly reinvents herself so as not to sound the same and look boringly the same. The upcoming Glee episode (April 20) featuring Madonna classics is much-awaited and her upcoming cd is much-anticipated. Hail to the Queen! Please get a copy of this wonderful CD/DVD and you will not regret plowing in your hard-earned money. It is worth every cent. Make Her Madgesty No. 1 again!
