Title - 'A Diamond in the Mind: Live 2011' (Eagle Rock)
Artist - Duran Duran

Recorded at the MEN Arena in Manchester (England) on December 16th 2011, this stunning Duran Duran live show is the perfect combination of great music, amazing vocals and iconic style which has been the bands trademark throughout their wonderful career.

The album kicks off with 'Before The Rain,' and then steams into a pulsating 'Planet Earth,' 'View To A Kill' (which I can always do without, in truth!) and the newer track 'All You Need Is Now.' With harmonies and backing vocals combining seamlessly, those crystal clear notes flowing from Simon still after all these years, we move on into the smooth 'Come Undone,' before both 'Blame The Machines' and the crowd-beloved 'The Reflex.'

For my humble money, A Diamond in the Mind: Live 2011 compares very favorably with their huge best-seller from 1984, Arena. Anyway, moving on and we get their fantastic version of 'Girl Panic!,' before 'Ordinary World,' the stutteringly-brilliant 'Notorious,' and then 'Hungry Like The Wolf.'

Bringing the album to a close, save for the sinful omission of 'Save a Prayer, are the lame pop of '(Reach Up For The) Sunrise,' 'Wild Boys,' and the finally 'Rio' comes out to play.
