Title - 'Club Daze Vol. 1- The Studio Sessions' (Armoury)
Artist - Twisted Sister

This CD of rare or never-released studio versions of original songs that Twisted Sister performed while playing the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut club circuit from 1978-1981 kicks of with Dee Snider counting us in, with a hearty "1,2,3,4 ...", before we're straight into the fast-paced 'Come Back.'

A raw-vocalled, guitar-fed track, it is followed by both the bass-enfused 'Pay The Price' (which sounds like a Blue Oyster Cult outtake!) and 'Rock N Roll Saviors' - where Dee professes over and over and over that "disco is dead"!

'High Steppin' is next, and has a real bouncy, swayin' beat to it, before drums bring us to 'Big Gun.' 'TV Wife' literally swings along. Sedate, frantic guitar-free, it showcases vocals at a less-screamed level. The free-flowing vibe of 'Can't Stand Still' is next, and is quite easily one of the best tracks on the CD.

'Follow Me' is another great track, before the sing-along of 'I'll Never Grow Up, Now' comes at us. The blues-feel of 'Lady's Boy' slinks in next, before a classy rendition of 'Leader Of The Pack' spills out - finally showcasing Dee's true, gritty vocals.

The CD ends with both a hard-edged, and long 'Under The Blade' before wrapping up with the rocked-out, but lyrically-repetative 'Shoot 'Em Down.'
